The City of Ottawa is scheduled to begin reconstruction of Lees Avenue between Main Street and Chestnut Street beginning the week of June 16, 2014. The work is expected to continue until November 2014.
Lane reductions will occur during the work day, however, the road will remain open during construction with access for pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles.

The new LCBO store beside Loblaws on Isabella Street will celebrate their grand opening on Wednesday, June 25, at 9:30 a.m.

An information meeting on Lansdowne Park's re-opening will be hosted by the Glebe Community Association on Tuesday, June 17, from 7-9 p.m. at the Glebe Community Centre. After two years of construction, Lansdowne Park will begin a phased opening this summer, with football and/or soccer games taking place most weekends starting July 18th. At the information meeting representatives from the City of Ottawa and the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group will explain transportation arrangements that will be in effect for Lansdowne events. All are welcome to attend.

The next OECA board meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 10, at 7:15 p.m. at Church of the Ascension, 253 Echo Drive (just north of Immaculata High School). The first hour will be the updated presentations that Sustainable Living Ottawa East (SLOE) had at the Oblates Development "Deep Green" experts forum in March. This will be followed by discussion of the ideas being presented.
