The City of Ottawa has advised that the Rideau River pathways will remain open throughout January with the exception of some periods of flagging. At this time, they anticipate approximately 8 flagged closures of 5 to 10 minute duration for each pathway.

Below are two letters from the OOECA to the NCC regarding support for the new pedestrian signal at the intersection of Colonel By Drive and Clegg Street, as well as support for re-routing OC Transpo buses along Clegg Street and Colonel By Drive during the reconstruction of Main Street.

At the OOECA annual general meeting on November 11, 2014, a question from the membership was raised of whether there could be safety improvements for users of Echo Drive. Several OOECA board members met with Ottawa South Community Association (OSCA) board members and others to discuss this. For more details, read the summary of the discussion. The City of Ottawa advises that both the eastern and western Rideau River pathways will be reopened on December 13 and are anticipated to remain open until early January.
