A public meeting on the proposed plan for the Oblates land will be held on Tuesday, March 3. The meeting will take place in the Amphitheatre, Saint Paul University, 223 Main Street, from 7 - 9 p.m. For more information, please contact Erin.O'Connell@ottawa.ca.

The University of Ottawa's "Masterplan" open house will be an opportunity for the public to view the university's proposed masterplan, which includes the university's intention to develop its 200 Lees Avenue campus in Old Ottawa East. The open house is Tuesday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a presentation at 7 p.m. in the agora of the University Centre. A second open house will be held during the day on Wednesday, March 11, at Roger Guindon Hall.

The National Capital Commission (NCC) recently approved the temporary detouring of northbound OC Transpo service from Main Street onto Colonel By Drive between Clegg Street and Hawthorne Avenue. This detour is necessary to maintain northbound bus service within the community during the Main Street ‘Complete Street’ transformation from 2015 to 2017. The NCC has also approved an intersection improvement, including signalization, at the Colonel By / Clegg intersection. This work will also commence this spring.

Human Scale documentary: A free screening of a documentary by noted architect Jan Gehl is scheduled at the Bytowne Cinema, 325 Rideau from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.), Thursday, January 29, 2015. Following the documentary, a panel of four local experts will discuss Ottawa's planning opportunities and challenges. The screening is sponsored by the Sandy Hill Community Health Centre, OOECA and SLOE.
