Beginning Thursday, January 19, Main Street from Hawthorne Avenue to Lees Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction for three days. The lane reductions are required for the emergency repair of a collapsed sanitary service. Motorists should expect delays or avoid the area if possible.

The official hours of operation for the Brantwood Rink are as follows:
Monday to Friday: 4:30 - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 11:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
During these hours a rink attendant is present and the field house change facilities are open. The rink attendant can be identified by a green “Brantwood Rink Staff” hockey jersey.

As noted in a previous post, the OOECA will be holding monthly gatherings to celebrate Canada's 23 prime minsters as a sesquicentennial project. The meeting originally scheduled for February 27 has been postponed. Stay tuned for a new meeting date!

The community association solicited our community for feedback on the new canal docks that were introduced during the summer of 2016. The feedback was collected and sent in the following letter to Minister McKenna. Thanks to all for submitting this feedback, and to Minister McKenna for supporting this initiative!

Some changes have been made to the detailed design of the Clegg-Fifth Canal Footbridge to increase the transparency of the east side switchback and stairs. The final meeting of the Public Advisory Committee (PAC) will be held at an as-yet unscheduled time in January. For more details see the notes of the November and December PAC meeting notes.
