John Morgan will be helping us better understand the life and times of Alexander Mackenzie, Canada’s second prime minister. In many respects, Alexander Mackenzie was the antithesis of John A Macdonald. “Known for his utmost honesty, integrity and hard work, Mackenzie sought no recognition or reward for himself,” says John Morgan. “A devout Baptist, he fought passionately for equality, democracy, the rule of law, and honesty in government.”

Below is a message from our local community police officer regarding recent theft in the community:
"I wanted to make sure everyone is aware we have been seeing an increase of theft from vehicles. The majority of time it is reported that the door was unlocked and the car was searched with no suspects or evidence left behind. I have on occasion had a few people mention that they are certain they locked the car doors but the next day it was still clear to be searched with no damages to the vehicle.
