Old Ottawa East resident Stephen Konkle will be hosting a walking tour of Old Ottawa East on May 5, 2018. This walk will explore the history and street names of our neighbourhood as part of the Jane's Walk walking tour festival. The walk will start at Rideau River Dr. near the George McIllwraith Bridge at 8:45am, and complete a 1.5km walk over an hour. For more details, see the Jane's Walk details page.

Bike Ottawa has published its 2018 annual report on the state of cycling infrastructure in the nation's capital. Major initiatives in Old Ottawa East, such as the complete street redesign for Main Street, and the upcoming Clegg St footbridge receive positive mentions. You can read the report here.

The Ottawa Catholic School Board is proposing construction of a new turf field at Immaculata High School. The OECA has expressed some concerns with the proposal, and with the lack of community engagement in the process.
