As part of the Highway 417 expansion project, the City of Ottawa is removing the outside highway lane and structure of Hurdman Bridge. Crews have begun work on the north side of the bridge, working from west to east. During this demolition work the multi-use pathways along both sides of Rideau River under Highway 417 (Hurdman Bridge) are required to be closed to maintain the safety of pedestrians and cyclists as these areas are within the construction zone.
